The COLOSSEUM (a.k.a. Area of death)
The Colosseum was started by Emperor Vespasian in 72 A.D and finish by his son Titus in 80 A.D, it's the largest Roman amphitheater in the world, located in the center of Rome and it's one of Rome's most popular tourist attraction. Back in the Roman time it was called "The Flavian amphitheater", because Emperor Vespasian and Titus family name is "Flavian".
The Colosseum held many entertainments like animal hunting, execution, re-enactments of famous battles, etc. but many people stayed for the gladiator games.
The Colosseum could hold up to 50,000 people, the structure has 80 entrances, also was constructed by tones of stone and marble and it's was estimated that 500,000 people and animal died there.
If you wondering why the Colosseum is even, it's because in 847 B.C. a terrible earthquake struck the southern Colosseum and sadly part of it collapsed.
